Novaneers get rewarded for their hard work

The learners received certificates after putting in the hard work during Cambridge Checkpoint assessments.

Nova Pioneer Paulshof hosted its annual Cambridge Checkpoint Awards ceremony on January 28.

The ceremony honoured the exceptional academic achievements of Grade 6 learners who successfully completed their Cambridge Checkpoint assessments in 2024.

This prestigious event recognised the learners’ outstanding performance in English, science, and mathematics, highlighting their hard work, dedication, and academic brilliance.

The school’s head, Enda Lawrence said, “The ceremony was a testament to Nova Pioneer’s commitment to academic excellence and its mission to develop young leaders and innovators.”

He added the Cambridge Checkpoint assessments were very important because they provided learners with an international benchmark for academic performance and offered valuable insights as they progressed in their educational journey.

Among the top achievers of the evening were:

English Excellence Awards:

  • Third place: Hunter du Toit
  • Second place: Nikita Bhika
  • First place: Neha Bhika and Munsanje Mukosa (tie)

Science Excellence Awards

  • Third place: Hunter du Toit
  • Second place: Awande Mpupuni
  • First place: Lara Joseph

Mathematics Excellence Awards

  • Third place: Kesaobaka Mafoko
  • Second place: Awande Mpupuni
  • First place: Lara Joseph

Overall Academic Achievement Awards

  • Third place: Hunter du Toit
  • Second place: Awande Mpupuni
  • First place: Lara Joseph.
