Moving, grooving, and growing, Xstatic dancers wow judges at National Competition
The dancers recently took part in the National Dance Competition, which got them in their top form, and couch Lindy Liebmann Carnicelli couldn't be prouder.
The recent National Dance Competition was more than a showcase of talent; it was a celebration of moving and grooving, just right for Xstatic Dance Studio.
Lindy Liebmann Carnicelli, the owner and main teacher of the studio, said the experience was deeply rewarding, not just for bagging the impressive wins, but for the inspiring leadership and unity displayed by the dancers on stage.
She said one of the most memorable aspects of the competition was witnessing the junior competition team step into mentorship roles for the younger, mini team. “They readily assisted and mentored our mini team, reinforcing the sense of family that is so important to our studio. Seeing them take on that role, with such enthusiasm and care, made me incredibly proud.”

Liebmann Carnicelli said that securing six top placements and first-place finishes was a major highlight for them. She said the competition itself offered a dynamic platform for dancers of all disciplines.
From high-energy hip-hop and jazz, to expressive contemporary and lyrical, as well as the physically demanding acrobatics, the event catered to every style.
Dancers participated in solos, duets, trios, and group routines, reflecting the competition’s inclusivity and wide appeal. As the franchise’s first South African competition, it made a powerful debut with over 800 entries, drawing top studios from across the country and establishing itself as a new cornerstone in the national dance calendar.

“We developed entirely new routines, created stunning costumes, and dedicated countless hours to rehearsals. This year, we also brought in guest choreographers to infuse our routines with fresh creativity and new perspectives.”
In the aftermath of each competition, Liebmann Carnicelli said Xstatic Dance focuses on growth. “We use these resources to develop targeted strategies for improvement, always aiming to elevate our dancers’ skills and artistry. We believe dance is for everyone, regardless of skill or experience.”
