It was mentioned in the community meeting last week that the responsible parties for parks and recreation facilities sometimes don’t fulfil their responsibilities.
I would love to see a collaboration between a successful organisation and a successful government organisation, especially in this benchmark community matter. I can imagine a development company that is prominent in the area, would love to see the community centre flourish.
The venue itself is stunning and a large development company could possibly make a substantial profit from the venue. With these profits, the community, in partnership with the development company could upgrade the facilities.
I think the venue must attain heritage status. There must be a committee formed that has members from the community, the government and representatives from development companies.
