On the morning of 5 June 2014 I was on my way to drop my daughter off at school. Travelling north on Douglas Drive, after taking off from the traffic lights and crossing the Leslie Road intersection, I noticed a large white Range Rover trying to cut in from the right as the lane merges at the entrance to the Pick n Pay. With right of way, and cars behind me and not wanting to brake suddenly, I proceeded only to be startled by loud hooting. I immediately reduced my speed in order to safely scan my mirrors only to find the scary-looking female Range Rover driver flashing lights and hooting. But it ended well because she probably realised her error and using hand signals offered to “pleasure me” in a very unconventional way. Being happily married to a gorgeous wife and with beautiful children I decided to continue with my day and not take her up on her offer. Maybe someday someone will.
To all road users please drive safely, be mindful of the rules of the road and road markings, and ultimately be respectful.
