EFC Flyweight championship up for grabs.

EFC kicks off this year with a title match.

Nkazimulo ‘King Shaka’ Zulu is determined to make history once more by taking back the belt he rightly sees as his on March 7 at the EFC Institute in Paulshof. One slight problem with him getting his belt back is the undefeated Gift ‘The Day’ Walker who barely flinched at the mention of Zulu’s name. EFC is kicking off this year with two talented champions willing to put everything on the line for this title match.

Even though the challenger Zulu has 16 more fights than the champion Walker, in some truly jaw-dropping odds, World Sports Betting currently has the undefeated talented fighter as the odds on favourite. With Zulu having beaten athletes like Gary ‘Relentless’ Joshua, Magno ‘Popeye’ Alves, Luthando ‘Shorty’ Biko, Craig ‘Nemo’ Ninow, Sylvester ‘Gladiator’ Chipfumbu, Cedric ‘The Dominator’ Doyle, Brendon Groenewald and Charlie ‘Silky Smooth’ Weyer – he is now training with one of the strongest fight teams in the continent.

Walker will not leave a single one of his professional fights in the hands of the judges, putting away every opponent the EFC placed opposite from him in the ring. Thanks to a superb grappling offence, finely-honed by coach and mentor JP Kruger who will himself compete at next month’s at EFC 112 for Luke Michael’s middleweight title, Walker has also displayed devastating knockout power against more experienced international opponents.

As the combat sports world turns its focus to African MMA following the incredible success of former EFC champion Dricus du Plessis with the UFC Middleweight belt now residing in South Africa, EFC 111 officially sets the continental season of 2024 underway with a stacked undercard setting the stage for five superb main card bouts including the monumental title clash, to kick-off a year which is set to be the promotions most spectacular in its vaunted 15-year history.
