‘Conflict is a source of growth’

FOURWAYS - Read about how an author inspires others to move positively through conflict.

A conflict gives us the opportunity to grow. This is the view of Paula Quinsee who launched her book Embracing Conflict at Skoobs bookshop in Montecasino on 19 May.

The teary Quinsee told her guests that she grew overnight after her mother passed on when she was seven years old. “After the death of my mother, my father told me that I was now the woman of the house. The emotional conflict I felt made me grow up overnight,” she said.

Members of the audience collapsed into each others’ arms as she shared the emotionally-charged journey of her life.

The book is a must-read for people in relationships and those planning to start one. Her book is filled with practical tools and insights for self-growth and development and has the capacity of turning conflict into stronger relationships across all levels.

Quinsee said, “Conflict was messy and makes us feel comfortable. All growth happens outside our comfort zone. Embracing Conflict provides us with a blueprint to grow ourselves and our relationships in all areas of our lives.”

The author also provides examples and exercises in her book which assist in getting people unstuck and moving into positive, growth-enhancing directions.
