With Comedy Central Roast Battle now in its 6th episode, the latest episode’s winner, renowned comedian Donovan Goliath, claimed victory in the show’s recent battle.
The laughter-infused evening took place at Parkers Comedy and Jive in Montecasino on 27 October with comedians battling head-to-head to see who was the ultimate roast master.
Armed with deadly insults, prickly one-liners and wicked wisecracks, Goliath engaged in unarmed combat with fellow comedians Loyiso Madinga, Rob van Vuuren, Eric Jansen, Simmi Areff and Martin Evans.
The comedians battled it out before competing in a three-way ‘roast-off’ in front of emcee and radio presenter Ayanda MVP and media personality Poppy Ntshongwana.
Goliath now joins the list of previous battle winners including Richlieu Beaunoir, Dillon Oliphant, Schalk Bezuidenhout and Dave Levinsohn in the anticipated battle grand finale later this year.
