According to Reddy, Johannesburg Water’s ground team has so far been unable to locate the exact source of the leak.
The team is currently waiting for Eskom to open a manhole required for further inspection, while the matter has also been escalated to Johannesburg Water’s Leak Detection Unit, which is expected to attend to the site today.
“I have requested the placement of a water tanker from Johannesburg Water to provide relief to affected residents this morning.”
Reddy added that there is currently no estimated time for the repair, but he will continue to closely monitor the progress.
