Germiston police catch man in the act of selling dagga

The Germiston SAPS arrested a man at the Germiston Taxi Rank for selling dagga.

Members of the Germiston crime prevention team recently nabbed a man for dealing in dagga at the Germiston Taxi Rank.

“The officers were out working in civilian clothes, blending into the environment, when they saw the suspect selling dagga at the taxi rank,” said Capt André de Jager, spokesman for the Germiston SAPS.

“They approached the man and identified themselves.”

The police searched the man and found more than 20 small bags packed with dagga, with a street value of about R3 000, in his possession.

The 25-year-old man was arrested and detained at the Germiston Police Station.

“Brig Nkensani Lemba, the Germiston SAPS station commander, congratulated Consts Jacob Lebelo, Meldick Phoku and Isaac Mthethwa for their commitment in the fight to combat crime,” said de Jager.
