Children enjoy cooking fun in Hirsch’s kitchen

Local store has fun teaching youngsters to cook.

Hirsch’s Meadowdale recently kicked off its first Kiddies Cooking Class of the year.

Youngsters in the community were invited to learn how to prepare a delicious roast vegetable couscous.

“The Hirsch’s team and Little Kids Cooking Classes taught them how to prepare roast vegetable couscous from scratch.

“Couscous is a coarsely ground semolina pasta which is a good low-fat source of complex carbohydrate with no cholesterol,” said Chantelle du Plessis, the public relations officer for Hirsch’s Meadowdale.

Faith Quive and Tshego Ntatleng enjoy themselves immensely at the recent Hirsch’s Meadowdale Kiddies Cooking Class.

“Every child was confident that they had created the best roast vegetable couscous and couldn’t wait to start tasting their masterpiece.

“Hirsch’s aim is to always show the children the best time while teaching them valuable information that they can use on their own.

“We all had the most amazing fun and seeing the smiles on the little ones’ faces warmed our hearts.”
