Two men allegedly rob Rietfontein Road business

Primrose police apprehended two men for business break-in and theft in Primrose.

Primrose police were called to investigate a recent alleged business break-in and theft in Rietfontein Road, in Primrose.

“The business’s security guard told officers that when he reported for duty at 7pm all was in order,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“At around 3am in the morning he allegedly noticed two men on the roof and asked what they were doing.

“The men allegedly told him it was none of his business what they were doing.

“He allegedly saw the men a while later with a trolley loaded with a compressor, pots and several other items valued at R25 000.”

After a brief investigation police arrested two men, aged 24 and 28 years old respectively, on a charge of business break-in and theft.

The have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where their case was postponed for plea and trial.
