New committee chairpersons appointed in Ekurhuleni Council
Three councillors have been sworn in to chair three Ekurhuleni council committees.
Three new chairpersons of Section 79 committees have been sworn in at the City of Ekurhuleni.
Ekurhuleni Speaker of Council Councillor John Senona officiated the swearing-in ceremony on August 31.
Councillor Gloria Ndinisa of the ANC is now the chairperson of the Ethics and Integrity Standing Committee.

Councillor Alister, chair of the Patriotic Alliance (PA), has been appointed chairperson of the Gender, Children, Youth and People with Disabilities Standing Committee.
Councillor Phumanazo Mchunu of the IFP is the new chairperson of the Water, Sanitation and Energy Oversight Committee.
Senona welcomed the new chairpersons and wished them well in their respective roles.
He encouraged them to serve the people of Ekurhuleni with integrity and uphold the oath they had sworn.
