The EMPD, together with the Primrose police, recently arrested two men in connection with a suspected house burglary and theft.
While on patrol in the Primrose area, an EMPD officer received a tip-off that two suspects who were alleged to have committed a burglary in Lily Road had been sighted.
The EMPD officer immediately called the Primrose police for back-up and, together, they were able to arrest the two men, aged 26 and 29.
The EMPD officer said he received a tip-off while patrolling in the Primrose area and noticed two men fitting the description given, still in possession of the scaffolding that was believed to have been stolen.
“It is this sort of co-operation between local police and the EMPD that will make Primrose a safer area as a whole,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose SAPS.
“The management of the Primrose SAPS thanks the EMPD and Primrose police officers for their quick response.”
