Elderly in for a treat in week-long celebration

A week of fun activities planned for the elderly.

In celebration of the Week of the Aged, the Germiston Association for the Aged (Gafa) is holding a number of fun and special events.

All elderly residents are invited to join in.

The events will all take place (with the exception of the concert) at Protea Old Age Home, where Gafa is situated, at the corner of Tulip Road and Churchill Avenue, in Primrose.

The events will run as follows:

  • October 3: Walk, meet in front of reception, 10am.
  • October 4: Bingo, recreation hall, 1.30pm.
  • October 5: Ronel Erasmus concert, NG Cachet Church hall, Thistle Street, Primrose, 10am.
  • October 6: Church service, recreation hall, 10am.
  • October 7: Fun day of games, on the grass in front of reception, 10am.
