Primrose police, with the assistance of the border SAPS, recently arrested a 30-year-old man suspected of both a house robbery and hijacking.
The robbery and hijacking took place in Saturn Street, in Primrose.
After the two incidents, the Primrose detectives followed several leads and discovered that the suspect was on his way to the Mozambique border. and they immediately alerted the border police.
The detectives later received a call from the SAPS to say that the suspect had indeed tried to cross the border and had been found in the vehicle believed to have been taken during the house robbery and hijacking.
The police arrested the suspect and he was held at the Komatipoort Police Station.
Primrose detectives travelled to Komatipoort, where they collected the suspect and transported him back to Primrose, where he will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
