I would like to take a moment to warn others of the latest scam that is doing the rounds.
I recently received what I assumed was an innocent phone call.
The person who called informed me that they were calling from a private investigation company.
The caller then proceeded to ask for the last four digits found on the back of my credit card.
These four digits are vital for any transaction made by/on your credit card when shopping online.
I would like to remind people in the community not to fall for this scheme.
Never give anyone the last four digits of any credit card as you could be setting yourself up for trouble.
No one wants to find themselves in debt, when they haven’t spent a cent.
