With the festive season almost upon us, the animals at the Germiston SPCA need the community’s help.
The society’s Christmas Cheer Fund has started to grow and is currently sitting on R5 479.50, but far more is needed to make sure the stray and abandoned animals in Germiston are cared for this festive season.
At this time of year, more and more animals find themselves abandoned or roaming the streets as strays.
This is where the SPCA steps in to provide these desperate animals with shelter and food.
But, in order to do this, the society needs funds.
The annual Germiston SPCA Christmas Cheer Fund is now open and we are asking the community to dig deep into their pockets to aid the animals this year.
The fund will run until the end of January and all the money raised will go towards the care of abused, abandoned and stray animals over the festive period.
All donations will be acknowledged in the GCN on a weekly basis.
It is so easy to help.
All you need to do is make a donation, big or small, it doesn’t matter, as every cent helps.
When making your donation, please give your first name and surname, so that you can be thanked properly in the GCN.
Donations can be made at the Germiston SPCA’s kennels, in Junction Road, Driehoek, or by calling 011 825-5033 for the banking details or more information.
