Children get treated at Christmas party

Peermont Children's Trust hosts Christmas parties.

Each year the Peermont Children’s Trust hosts a Christmas party for more than 700 pupils that attend one of the nine aftercare centres the trust supports.

The aftercare centres are located at various primary schools in disadvantaged areas throughout the metro.

For the 2013 festivities it was decided that the trust would host individual parties at each of the aftercare centres.

The Reahile Primary School Aftercare Centre in Katlehong celebrated their Christmas party on Friday, November 29.

In attendance were the trust’s chairman Tshidi Madima (left) and trustee Vusi Zwane (right), who presented pupils with gift bags full of goodies.

The pupils who attended were treated to a scrumptious lunch and were each given a food parcel to take home, in the hope of insuring the children will not go to bed hungry over the December holidays.
