Primrose police arrested a man, aged 38, at a house in Pretoria Road, Primrose, recently.
The arrest came after the victim alleged that she had obtained a protection order against her husband, and he did not obey some of the rules in the order.
When the husband allegedly broke some of the rules, the victim called the police and he was arrested.
“We appeal to our community not to disobey court orders, because they will be arrested; for any challenge they must seek help from the authorities, where they will be helped properly,” said the communication officer for the Primrose SAPS, Const Styles Maome.
“People must not take the law into their own hands.”
The accused appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and the case was postponed for trial.
