Alleged drug dealer out on bail, nabbed again

EMPD catch alleged drug dealer.

While out on a routine patrol, last Tuesday, EMPD officers pulled over the driver of a vehicle.

The incident took place at about 4.30pm, at the intersection of Lower Boksburg and Knights roads.

When the officers first saw the man they noticed that he was either reaching for something or placing something under the driver’s seat, so he was instructed to stop.

Upon investigation the EMPD members found 18 packets of Kat under the seat.

The confiscated drugs are worth approximately R3 000 on the streets.

It also emerged that the man was out on R5 000 bail for drug-dealing, and had appeared in court that morning, where his case was postponed until later this month.

The Nigerian male suspect, who is in his mid-30s, was charged with possession and dealing in illicit substances at the Germiston Police Station.

He was expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court on Thursday.
