Security guard bust selling dagga

A 29-year-old security guard was arrested at a local complex for the possession of dagga.

Members of the Germiston police recently received information about a security officer at a residential complex selling dagga.

The guard was alleged to be operating from his post at the security gate.

“Officers went to the security guard and explained to him why they are there.

“The security guard then took out three small bags of dagga and explained to the police that this is the only dagga that he had with him,” explained WO Andre de Jager, spokesman for the Germiston police.

“After searching the guards post officers found another eleven bags of dagga in the guard’s possession. The police members arrested the suspect.

The 29-year-old guard and charge with the possession of dagga and was detained at the Germiston Police Station.

The dagga (28 grams) was weighed and booked in as evidence.
