Through various stop-and-searches and other operations 42 people have been arrested in Primrose

The Primrose police had their hands full, from July 14 to 20, with the arrest of 42 people.

They were arrested for various crimes.

Here is the arrests break down:

q Assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3.

• Common Assault: 3

•  Driving under the influence: 6

•  Theft: 3

• Murder: 1

•  Warrant of detention: 1

• Shoplifting: 3

•  Housebreaking and theft: 1

•  Possession of drugs: 4

• Possession of suspected stolen property: 1

•  Interference with police duties: 1

• Soliciting/importuning for the purpose of sexual immorality: 3

•  Malicious damage to property: 2

•  Selling liquor without a licence: 2

•  Illegal immigrants: 9.

“These arrests were made during various stop-and-searches, as well as other operation throughout Primrose,” explained Sgt Styles Maome.

“The station commander, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, and his management thank everyone involved.

“Together we can keep Primrose safe.”
