Primrose SAPS arrest 37 in a week

Thirty-seven arrested in a week.

The Primrose police arrested 37 suspects during the week July 21 to 27.

The accused were arrested for various crimes in the area:

  •  Assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 1
  •  Domestic violence: 1
  •  Common robbery: 1
  •  Business robbery: 1
  •  Driving under the influence: 14
  •  Theft: 5
  •  Theft under false pretence: 1
  •  Drunk and disorderly in public: 8
  •  Soliciting/importuning for the purpose of sexual immorality: 2
  •  Selling liquor without a licence: 1
  •  Possession of drugs: 3
  •  Shoplifting: 2
  •  Possession of suspected stolen property: 1
  •  Illegal immigrants: 8.

“These arrests show our continued commitment to making Primrose a safer place,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer of the Primrose police.
