Due to several stop-and-search operations in the Primrose area, officers were able to arrest four men for theft.
The suspects, aged between 26 and 38 years old, were detained at the Primrose Police Station pending their court appearances.
“The station commander and management of the Primrose Police Station are happy with the success we are having in our stop-and-search operation,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“The community is asked to remember that our overall goal is to make Primrose one of the safest places to live.”
The four men have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where each of their cases was postponed for trial.
