The Primrose police appeal to the community to be on the lookout for a silver Volkswagen Polo.
This vehicle is believed to be occupied by two men and one woman and has been sighted in the area.
The criminals gain entry into houses in the following ways:
- They claim they are from the metro and are there to take a head count of the children in the home.
- They tell home owners that they are there to check the house’s main switch.
- They claim they are at the house to change all the light bulbs to energy efficient bulbs.
Once they are inside the house a firearm is produced and the house and its occupants are robbed.
“We therefore ask the community to be alert and aware of their surroundings,” stated communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.
