Rapping twins set their sights on the big time
Double take! Germiston's twin rappers ready to take on the music world.
They are young, dynamic and excited to take on the world of music.
Germiston twins Kabelo and Keletso Moraba (18) are looking forward to making a career for themselves by rapping their way to success.
Keletso, a pupil at Germiston High School, and Kabelo, a sound engineering student at the SABC, started rapping at the tender age of 11.
“Besides the fact that we can’t sing, we related to other rappers and thought this would be a good route for us,” said Keletso.
They formed the duo Trallavelle CE (Colourless Emotions) and go under the stage names Papichulo (Kabelo) and Keltoc Major (Keletso).
Kabelo is an avid poet and this progressed into writing songs.
The brothers have quite different artistic styles, but said that they complement each other.
They write about all types of things and their music always has a message aimed at the youth.
They have just recorded a single entitled “None of my Business”, as well as a music video.
Born in Limpopo, the boys moved to Germiston with their parents, Alice and Ruben, at the age of four.
When asked about their future ambitions, Katlego said: “I see myself getting a Grammy and I know this will happen.”
Keletso agreed, and added that they are putting in the work and will, thus, achieve big things.
The youngsters have performed at a number of venues and recently did a radio interview on Lesedi FM, as well as an interview on SABC1.
The duo have already worked with Khan Hlungwane (a rapper) and Source Sibeko (singer) on a track and produced a song called “I’m still flying”, with American artist Atlanta.
