Thirty-nine offenders arrested

The Primrose SAPS had their hands full from August 25 to 31.

Officers arrested a total of 39 suspects, who were charged with various crimes:

•  Possession of drugs 8.

•  Urinating in public 1.

•  Fraud 3.

•  Common assault 2.

•  Illegal connection of electricity 1.

•  Housebreaking 1.

•  Possession of stolen property 7.

•  Illegal possession of copper 1.

•  Driving under the influence 1.

•  Drunk and disorderly in public 1.

•  Malicious damage to property 2.

•  Attempted murder 1.

•  Contempt of court 2.

•  Dealing in/selling liquor without a licence 5.

•  Illegal immigrants 3.

“The station commander, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, again thanks everyone who has made a contribution to these successes,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

A number of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were remanded for various reasons.
