A 33-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday, September 7, in the Makause informal settlement, for the possession of dagga.
The arrest was made while officers, dressed in civilian clothing, were on a foot patrol in the area.
They observed a man approaching a local tuck shop.
Not suspecting that he was being watched by police he asked the woman behind the counter for some dagga.
She retreated to a microwave and returned with a bag of the drug.
The officers swooped in and began to search the property; they found 17 plastic bags containing dagga inside the microwave and the woman was arrested.
She later appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court where her case was postponed for trial.
