EMPD members responded to a call for assistance from a tracking company, at 12.16pm, last Tuesday.
The tracking company members were chasing a black Toyota RunX, stolen at 8.30am in Edenvale.
EMPD Germiston Crime Prevention members managed to corner the driver of the vehicle at the intersection of Black Reef and Heidelberg roads, in Wadeville.
The vehicle was recovered and the driver arrested.

With gloves on, presumably to ensure that he did not leave his fingerprints on the vehicle, the 38-year-old driver was taken to the Elsburg Police Station and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
The dashboard of the RunX was found to have been ripped, the ignition was tampered with and the gear knob was missing.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
