Two men found in possession of dagga in Delport

Stop-and-search leads to arrests.

The Primrose police recently arrested two men for the possession of dagga.

The accused, aged 20 and 23, were arrested in the Delport informal settlement on Saturday, October 4, while members of the Primrose SAPS were busy with a stop-and-search operation in the informal settlement.

The officers noticed the two men behaving oddly, approached them and asked to search them.

Dagga was found in the pockets of both men.

“The officers arrested the men and brought them to the Primrose Police Station for detention,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Both suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their case was postponed for trial.
