Suspects accuse each other of wrong doing

Police nab thieves.

The Primrose police recently arrested two men for the possession of stolen property.

The suspects, aged 18 and 23, were arrested at the corner of Rietfontein and Mimosa roads, in Primrose, while police were on foot patrol in the area.

“Officers noticed the two men, one pushing a wheelbarrow — both were acting suspiciously,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Police searched the men and the wheelbarrow and found a copper welding machine, a drilling machine, a Decker grinder, a wood cutter, a Bosch micro filter system, a Ryobi handy line and four spanners.

“The officers questioned the men about the items and they immediately started pointing fingers at each other,”said Maome.

‘”The officers arrested them and brought them to the Primrose Police Station.”

Both suspects will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court, soon.
