Making people’s Christmas dreams come true

Helping Hand launches campaign to realise Christmas dreams.

Helping Hand launched a social media campaign, last Monday, which will dedicate R30 000 to realise Christmas dreams throughout South Africa.

Helping Hand recently reached the aim of having 30 000 supporters and wants to celebrate this milestone by giving back to communities and to let 30 Christmas dreams come true.

Every day for the next 30 days (from November 10), Helping Hand will fulfill a Christmas wish to the value of R1 000.

“At Helping Hand there is certainly much joy over the support of so many people for the work we do,” said Dr Danie Brink, Helping Hand’s chief executive.

“In addition, we experience almost daily the joy 30 000 supporters’ money brings in the lives of needy people.

“Now we in return want to give something to our selfless supporters by giving them the right to nominate people whose Christmas dreams can be realised.”

Members of the public can nominate any person or institution whose Christmas wish can be realised through Helping Hand.

Any Christmas wish – be it an elderly person who is keen to visit his or her family but cannot afford the plane ticket, a soup kitchen that is in urgent need of non-perishables or an old age home that needs blankets for its residents – can be nominated.

Nominations can only be done via Helping Hand’s Facebook page by clicking on the tab, 30 Kerswense.

Every day for the next 30 days Helping Hand will announce a winner, whose Christmas wish will be fulfilled, on Facebook and on Twitter.
