Members of the Primrose SAPS recently arrested five women, aged between 27 and 42 years.
The women were charged with importuning/soliciting for the purpose of sexual immorality.
The arrests took place in Beaconsfield Avenue, when officers on patrol in the area noticed the five women acting suspiciously.

The officers stopped to observe what the women were doing, as prostitution is a problem in the area.
Officers saw the woman exposing themselves in an indecent way to the passing motorists.
The women were arrested and transported to the Primrose Police Station, where they were formally charged.

“As police we discourage all the motorists who are promoting prostitution in our area,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“The problem has increased in both Beaconsfield Avenue and Rietfontein Road.
”We will continue with our disruptive operations and those who are caught will be arrested.”
The women all appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where they were released on a warning.
