Child Welfare gets a wonderful donation

Local company comes to the aid of Germiston Child Welfare.

While reflecting on the death of Nelson Mandela, a year ago, on Friday, staff from Roshcon Construction handed over a donation of teddy bears, clothes, shoes and other useful items to Germiston Child Welfare, thus keeping Mandela’s spirit, legacy and commitment to caring for others alive, despite his absence.

Barbara Bouwer, director of Germiston Child Welfare, thanks each and every person who contributed from Roshcon Construction, for the difference they have made in the lives of children during 2014.

There were so many teddy bears donated to Germiston Child Welfare by employees from Roshcon Construction, that they had to be transported by TLB.

“Thank you so much for sharing, but even more so for caring.

“These teddy bears will most likely become a close companion to the children receiving them, something to hold close when they feel lost or scared and sometimes even a ‘silent ear’ to listen to their fears, secrets, hopes and dreams,” said Bouwer.

She further wished all the employees and their families a blessed festive season.
