The Primrose police recently released their arrest statistics for the week of November 17 to 23, when they arrested a total of 36 suspects for various crimes in the Primrose area.
Crimes included:
- Assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3
- Common assault: 1
- Drunk and disorderly behaviour: 5
- Intimidation: 1
- Child neglect: 1
- Theft: 2
- Business robbery: 5
- Shoplifting: 1
- Contempt of court: 1
- Murder: 1
- Possession of suspected stolen property: 1
- Possession of an unlicensed firearm: 1
- Driving under the influence of alcohol: 1
- Illegal immigrants: 12
The station commander, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, congratulated his team on their continued efforts.
Most of the accused appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
The illegal immigrants will be taken to Lindela, for deportation.
