The children of the Epworth's Children's Village, in Lambton were treated to a Christmas surprise by Survival Kidz.
Survival Kidz had a busy year in 2014.
One of the groups on-going projects was their Christmas project which ran the whole of 2014, and ended with a huge success.
“We went to visit the Epworth’s Children’s Village in Lambton in December,” explained Crista Duvenage, founder of Survival Kids.
“We started off the visit with a jumping caste and a slip ‘n slide which the children really enjoyed.
“We then treated children to hot dogs, cup cakes, doughnut, sweet packets and cold drink lunch.
“After the children had, had their fill we gathered them together and handed each of them a name-taged Christmas present.
“It was an awesome feeling to see the children’s faces light up by hearing their name being called out to collect a Christmas present.”, said Duvenage.
Survival kidz thank the everyone who made the day possible including: Rent Tech from Witbank for the sweet packets, Issie Barnard, Melissa Maree, Martie Lategan, Adri Courtney, Carmen Slabbert, Ronalda Van Loggerenberg, Joan Pelser & JIG International, for all the Christmas Presents.
“A special thanks to Melissa Maree for the jumping castle and slip ‘n slide and she spent the whole day with us as well as Susan Harmse for preparing and donating all the food,” added Duvenage.
The group hopes to continue their work in 2015 and reach more of the community.
