Sunnyridge residents have once again been plagued by a power outage.
The power has been off since the early hours of Thursday morning.
And that’s not the only problem facing residents.
When the power goes out, the suburb is also left without water due to the fact that the generator at the reservoir does not work.
The GCN approached the metro for comment and spokesman for the metro Themba Gadebe said, “The metro is aware of the power failure affecting Sunnyridge.
“The power failure is due to one of the three transformers being off.
“Technicians are currently on site testing all cables from the substation to establish the cause of the transformers being off.
“The municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused.”
No comment regarding the fact that the generator does not work at the reservoir was forthcoming from the metro.
