No clues as to the whereabouts of missing six-year-old

Police continue to search for Kagiso Mokwena.

Police are still searching for a six-year-old boy who went missing in Katlehong on Friday, January 9.

“At this stage, there are no developments.

“The police are continuing their investigations,” said Capt Augustinah Selepe, from the Gauteng provincial police.

The boy, identified as Kagiso Mokwena, went missing at around midday after it was alleged that an unknown woman called him by name at the park where he was playing with friends.

She offered to buy the children lollipops.

The woman gave the children money and then led Mokwena down the road.

Mokwena was last seen wearing brown trousers, a green golf shirt and purple sneakers with yellow laces.

Police are appealing to the public to contact their nearest police station if they have any information about the little boy’s whereabouts.

The GCN will continue to follow up on this case and release more information as it becomes available.
