The search for six-year-old Kagiso Mokwena who went missing in Katlehong on Friday, January 9, continues.
“At this stage, there are no developments.
“We are pleading with members of the public to assist us, there is no way that no one has no information about the whereabouts of this child.
“Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigation is asked to contact their nearest police station,” said Capt Augustinah Selepe, from the Gauteng provincial police.
Mokwena went missing at around midday after it was alleged that an unknown woman called him by name at the park where he was playing with friends.
The woman gave the children money and then led Mokwena down the road.
Mokwena was last seen wearing brown trousers, a green golf shirt and purple sneakers with yellow laces.
Police are appealing to the public to contact the Katlehong police’s Const Abram Mathibela on 083 964 9866 or 076 356 4058, Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or their nearest police station, if they have any information about the little boy’s whereabouts.
