Twenty-six arrests for Primrose police

Busy start to the year.

Between January 19 and 25, the Primrose police arrested a total of 26 suspects.

The suspects were arrested for various crimes in the Primrose area.

The offences were as follows:

  •  Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3
  •  Common assault: 3
  •  Theft: 8
  •  Possession of drugs: 2
  •  Possession of suspected stolen property: 1
  •  Possession of an unlicensed firearm: 1
  •  Intimidation: 1
  •  Housebreaking and theft: 1
  •  Driving under the influence of alcohol: 1
  •  Warrant of arrest: 2
  •  Illegal immigrants: 3.

The station commander of the Primrose Police Station Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The illegal immigrants will be taken to Lindela for deportation.
