What can residents expect during stage three load shedding

“Eskom’s stage three load shedding is divided into a number of blocks for seven days of the week,” begun Themba Gadebe, spokesman for the metro in an explanation of what residents can expect in stage three load shedding.

The Ekurhuleni areas are covered under blocks 17, 18, and 20 as indicated on Eskom’s load shedding schedule (seen below).

Customers are encouraged to go through the three blocks to identify under which block their areas fall including the time they will experience load shedding.

 Block 17 areas:

Activia Park, Barvallen, Dawnview, Delmore (Ulana Park), Dukathole, Fishers Hill, Gerdview, Henville, Homestead, Knights, Marlands, Meadowbrook, Rustivia, South Germiston, Synnyridge, Sunnyrock, Symhurst, Wannenburg, Wannenburg Hoogte, Wilbart, Witfield, Woodmere and Rand Refinery.

Block 18 areas:

Elsburg and Germiston CBD.

Block 20 areas: 

Germiston South and Wadeville.
