Drug dealers caught by Germiston SAPS

Men nabbed with drugs in Delville.

Two men were arrested for possession of drugs, on Wednesday, by members of the Germiston SAPS Cluster Task Team.

Acting on a tip-off from the community regarding a person selling drugs in Webber Road, the officers approached the identified suspect at 6.45pm.

The man immediately rushed off to his motor vehicle and proceeded to drive away.

The police officers managed to stop the motor vehicle and, after searching the suspect, they found bags in his possession containing two grams of crystal meth and two packets containing CAT (one gram).

The suspect then took the police to Paschendaele Road, in Delville, where they arrested another individual for possession of full moon and crystal meth (31 grams and 17 grams respectively).

The suspects, aged 45 and 34, were arrested and detained for possession of suspected drugs and dealing in drugs.

They were due to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court on Thursday.

“The Germiston Cluster Commander, Brig Phumla Mdlankomo, congratulated Consts Jacob Lebelo, Kenneth Ndou, Takalani Mabirimisa, Nhlanhla Mthethwa and Sello Nong for the diligent and hard work they are doing to combat the crime of drugs in the city,” said WO André de Jager, spokesman for the Germiston Police Station.
