Woman assaulted and then raped
Another woman raped in the Makause informal settlement.
Members of the Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) arrested a 29-year-old man for the rape of his ex-girlfriend.
The victim opened a case with the unit after her ex-boyfriend assaulted and raped her, at her home, in the Makause informal settlement.
She said she was at home when she heard a knock on the door and opened it to discover her ex-boyfriend standing there.
“He shouted at me and began to hit me,” the victim explained.
He ordered her to undress and forced himself onto her.
He was arrested shortly after the incident was reported and was detained at the Primrose Police Station, pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
