The metro wishes to inform Germiston residents and businesses of an emergency power supply interruption scheduled for today, from 10am.
The interruption is due to repair works to be carried out at the Technical College substation.
The areas to be affected are the Germiston CBD, Elsburg, Georgetown, Simmerfield and Jupiter.
Power is expected to be restored by noon, in the interim residents are urged to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically alive.
The municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused.
