In its continuous efforts to provide a stable and reliable electricity supply network to consumers, the metro will be conducting essential cable maintenance work at the Rietcons substation in Germiston.
In order to do the work, there will be a planned power supply interruption that will affect Germiston and its surrounding areas on Saturday (April 4) from 8am to 5pm.
The following areas will be affected:
- Meadowdale extensions five, 11 and 12;
- Buurendal and Buurendal Extension One;
- Elandsfontein;
- Harmelia;
- Highway Gardens;
- Klopper Park and
- Tunney extensions Six, Seven and Nine.
Residents are urged to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically alive at all times.
The metro apologises for any inconvenience to be caused.
