Eskom has annouced this morning through the comany’s Twitter account (@Eskom_SA) that the risk of load shedding remains high, especially between the peak hours of 5pm to 9pm.
This comes after Eskom implemented stage two load shedding till 10pm yesterday (Monday).
It is reported that the outages are due to a shortage of generating capacity.
Today could see the fourth consecutive day of load shedding.
Eskom’s spokesman Khulu Phasiwe said that the peak hours (5pm to 9pm) and the colder weather are the contributing factors to the shortages, “Many households use this time to prepare meals and switch on geysers to bath.
“The drop in the temperatures has also caused people to use heaters.”
