The Primrose police shared their recent arrest statistics.
Thirty-nine suspects were arrested for various crimes in the Primrose area from May 4 to 10.
Crimes included:
- Possession of drugs: 5
- Common assault: 1
- Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3
- Fraud: 1
- Theft: 1
- Soliciting/importuning for the purpose of sexual immorality: 5
- Possession of stolen property: 1
- Illegal immigrants: 13
The Primrose SAPS station commander Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.
Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and their cases were postponed for various reasons.
The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela for deportation.
