Hot topic on Facebook for the week

What are your thoughts?

A hot topic on the Germiston City News Facebook page for the week May 15 to 22, was:

Thoughts on motorists not being able to renew licences without paying e-tolls? Motorists will have to cough up for e-tolls or else they will not be able to renew their car or driver’s licences: https://on.fb.me/1AjeQam

Here’s what you had to say:

  •  Toni Werner – Uuuum nope…. I’d personally rather drive an unlicensed car, or I’ll just sell my car and claim UIF.
  •  Debbie Dodd – Don’t see how they can do that, how are the two related? Bullying tactics or are we living in a communistic province?
  •  Sbusiso Ntozakhe – This government is corrupt we are not paying these things.
  •  Jason Simeonides – All that this is promoting is now people will not renew their driver’s and car licences, therefore, further increasing the strain on the road accident fund and eventually 90 per cent of people driving on the roads will have unlicenced vehicles. Great thinking Zuma! Brilliant solution to further mess up an already messed up situation, once again.
  • Kismet Smith – They tried that with outstanding fines and that did not work.
