A 14-year-old boy risked his own safety when he ran into a burning house to save a woman. The house fire occurred in Warbler Street, Elspark, at about 2pm on Saturday, May 16.

The Primrose CPF is warning residents that housebreakings and hijackings in the area are on the increase. Primrose Sector Three seems to be especially hard hit, with crimes taking place mainly between 6am and noon, and 4pm and 9pm.

Two Wychwood families have been the targets of hijackers in the last few weeks. On May 11, Cheré Page’s 2015 model white Ford Fiesta ST was hijacked as she was pulling into her Cassia Street home. The very next day, Adel Stokes almost suffered the same fate when she was attacked on her Holmoak Road property.
