Youth Desk encourages residents to stay safe

Youth desk takes to the streets of Wychwood.

Members of the Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk (PCPYD) and the Primrose police recently took to the streets in Wychwood to encourage residents to stay safe.

The PCPYD engaged with residents and warned them about the main crimes which occur in the area.

“Safety tips were given to the community and put into mail boxes,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“We, as police, are concerned about incidents where residents are followed and attacked or robbed when entering their premises.

“People should be observant ant aware of their surroundings when entering and leaving their homes.”

Maome thanked the PCPYD members for their commitment.

“Other partnerships should learn from these young people, they are doing a good job,” he said.
